Fading Summer

I have been feeling bad that I haven't done a ton with the kids this summer. Mostly they just want to hang out and play with their friends. We have had a lot of bike rides, BBQs, and going to the children's museum. The other day we went bowling and had a lot of fun. Where does the summer go? I love fall, but I don't think I am ready to go back to the school schedule. I love having the kids around and having less of a schedule.

Our friends Linda and her son Zach came with us.

Last weekend I had a shower for one of my elementary - high school (and now) friends that is getting married next week. It was really fun to see everyone and hear what they are up to. We took this picture after a few people had left. These are all girls I totally grew up with. They are all amazing women.

I hate it when summer starts winding down. Whenever I drive past the pool in the winter I have a major depressive moment. I love the holidays (yeah right) but I love summer more!!

WOW! I recognize some of those faces, you need to remind me of their names! I remember Shannon Saylor she was always soooo nice, she is still so beautiful! Oh, and Sheri Johns... I bet that was fun to get together and catch up. Plus you got to show off your DARLING kids, lovely home, and I am sure they were blown away by how young and beautiful you still look!!!

What a nice picture! I love getting together with old friends. It is fun remembering all the crazy things we did when we were in high school and realize that our kids will probably be doing the same things when they get older!

funny you Lori! It was such a fun time to get together with these girls again! Time just keeps ticking on doesn't it? It was fun to come up with the memories again. Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday.....

Summer? What's that? I can't remember since I am still working and wearing a stinking trench and scarf.

Although Utah this weekend was scorching... I forgot what hot weather feels like, weird. You guys are so lucky!

I love bowling. My mom use to take my bro and I fun places like that during our off-track time back in the grade school days. We love the 49th street Galleria. (Is that place even around anymore?)

It's weird not teaching anymore, I guess school does start soon, I forgot. Have fun with the kiddos while you have them...

It looks like you have made the most of summer. Getting back into the school is kind of hard. It also looks like you had a nice shower for your friend. I think that it is great that you still have such good relationships with the girls that you grew up with.
