After my last post I got a lot of questions. I don't know why I do that, because then I have to explain myself, and really I was just having a bad day! O.k a really bad day, but nothing too serious. Things are a lot better now and hopefully will continue to be. I thought I'd catch up on some of the things I've been up to. The first thing I missed was Ben's Valentines Day Lip Sync. They did it to "We will rock you". This was something I did at Oakdale when I was young and our group took 1st place (a proud moment in my life:)They didn't do places, but the crowd freaked out when Ben's group performed and they won the "Coolest" award. It was son fun to see him get up there and go crazy, he even jumped off the stage at the end.
Another thing going on at our house is the American Girl Doll craze. The girls got dolls for Christmas and they are constantly begging me to make clothes, bedding, and to have photo shoots with their dolls. One of their favorite activities is going to the American Girl book club at Barnes and Noble with all their friends.

This last weekend we had a baby shower at our house for Jeni and Jason. I cannot even tell you how excited I am for them to have their little boy. I am so stinking baby hungry (I have been trying to convince Tony that we need to adopt a little black baby, maybe even two). I made this diaper cake
and this bouquet that actually has three onesies, three bibs, and two hats in it.
Afterwards we had fun hanging out with Jeni and Jason. I think we probably scared Jeni when we told her how many diapers the baby will go through in a day...
or when we told Jason how much babies cost...
But I think we cheered them up when Lorin told them that he would give the baby free modeling lessons...
Just kidding! They are going to be great parents and we are so happy!
We played games the rest of the night and even though I ended up falling asleep on the couch, It reminded me how much I love having my family over hanging out.
Even my dad came over on his crutches. He is recovering nicely from his knee surgery.
We definitely missed Chad, but luckily he called that afternoon and we had a nice long chat. He is so good at checking in on me, that sometimes I forget that he is so far away.
I have been feeling the creative bug lately (love it when that happens) and will be posting some pictures of all my little projects. Let's just say I've learned how to sew and spray paint is my new best friend!

I'm glad to see that Jeni is finally showing (hehehe). She looks great!
I love those dolls, Emma saw one on T.V. and has been asking for one, I might have to check out Ebay. Are they as good as they look?
What a fun shower! I just did one of those too, except all in pink! Love the cake! Angela made one of those for a baby gift once...so darn cute! Getting the baby fever again, huh? Black babies are the cutest! April's sister just adopted one this past year and he is adorable! I can totally see you doing that!
I didn't know you were having a bad day... just come to California for a visit and all your worries/troubles will be gone, I promise! (Just don't take I-15 cause that won't take you to where we live, we live straight west of you :))
Thanks again for the shower, the adorable diaper cake, and the cool bouquet. Gosh, I'm blessed! You did a fantastic job and I'm excited that at least one person (besides Jas and me) is excited for him to come into this world also.
So if you're baby hungry, does this mean we can just drop him off at your house and go on vacation?? :)
I just wanted to say thank you for being such a good friend to my sister Emily. I read your comment on her blog. I know that she really enjoys having you as a friend. And right now she needs all the friends she can get. I am really sorry about your mother passing away. She always had such a wonderful smile on her face. She was always so happy and excited about life. I always felt happy after talking to her. Your family looks great. Tell Cory and Tony hi. I hope you dont mind me looking on your blog. But I was so touch by your comments to my sister. That I wanted you to know how I felt. I have also wanted to say just how sorry I am about Sandy. Thank you so much for being her friend. Natalie Bingham Robbins
Lori, what ever about the eternal youth gene. What would be fine to show Cory and Tony my blog. It would be good to hear from them again. You look so good. I can't believe that my little sisters friends have grown-up. You look so beautiful and your kids are darling. I better not leave Tony out, he looks just like he did in High School. So the eternal youth gene might just come from living in Sandy. Thanks for your comment and your freindship with Em. You look like such a great mom. Keeping up with kids is very hard. it was good to see your family again.
