Sarah didn't come with us, I wish she was in this picture
So I have greatly neglected my blog for a long time now. I have loved reading other people's blogs and have felt bad about neglecting my own, but really have had no motivation to blog. I have been taking lots of pictures, that isn't the problem. The problem has been trying to write. I'm not one of those people that can be all positive when I'm not feeling it. There has been a lot going on at our house. Some really fun stuff, swimming, San Francisco, Wicked, bike rides etc. There has been a lot of stressful stuff as well. Ever since my mom died there has been a lot for me to work through and working through that kind of stuff is never easy. It can be incredibly hard on a family and a marriage. Hopefully we will come out of this chapter of our lives stronger and happier. That's the goal, otherwise this totally wouldn't be worth going through. In the meantime I have been loving learning more about photography and freezing perfect moments in time. Helps me realize that there is always something beautiful to find, and it just seems easier for me to find it through my lens.

Just finished reading "Tending Roses", could've highlighted the whole thing. Simple story, profound messages for me. You're first picture has captured one of those messages. Don't give up.
I need to come over so you can tell me all about San Francisco. I am interested to hear what you thought of our home area.
Blogging is sooo overrated. Just update when you can and/or want to. Don't do it if it feels like a chore or to compete with others. It's really not important and can become another thing to distract us from important stuff.
Keep doing what you're doing and who cares about the blog!
