Conference and my projects

It was so nice to just relax and watch conference this year. I love it when it rains during the Saturday sessions because all the soccer games are canceled. The kids loved doing the conference pages that Laura emailed me.

I finally got around to taking some pictures of my recent projects. The first was the laundry room. Here is the before...

And here is the after....

I painted the trim (and pretty much everything that was white) black and changed the door hardware. The best part is now when the kids grow up they can tell everyone that they had a puke yellow laundry room when they were young.
I also have been trying to teach myself to sew. I wish I was better or that at least I didn't have to google every sewing term, but I have to admit I am having fun. I have been making doll clothes for the girls...

This skirt for Whitney....

Next I made these valances for my bedroom. I got the fabric on sale at Hobby Lobby and the rods were only 3 bucks. Each valance cost me $9!

Right now I am working on bedspreads for Hannah and Sarah's room.
