I Left My Heart in San Francisco

I think it was in October that I went out to San Francisco to help Jeni and Jason move.  I was looking for pictures for the kids birthday blogs and found these and wanted to post them because I intend to make a blog book soon.  The first day that I got there we drove out to a cool lighthouse, unfortunately it was a long way out there and by the time we got there the walkway down to the lighthouse was closed, but it was still beautiful, especially with the setting sun. I couldn't believe how many deer we saw and even a coyote.

We also ate some amazing food while I was there.  We drove into the city and went to Little Italy and found this really cute Italian restaurant.  I wanted to try something new and this sweet older Italian man next to me told me to order the Bolognese.  It was really good. I then asked him where we could find the most authentic gelato.  Everyone always tells me places to go that have gelato but nothing has ever come close to the gelato I had in Italy.  He sent us to this tiny shop and it was amazing!! The closest I have ever had in the U.S.  Thick and gooey, but very cold. MMmmm I want to go back just for that.

And then I, of course, I got to spend time with this adorable little guy.  I swear he never cries.  Jeni and Jason were so nice to drive me around to see everything I wanted before they moved away and I lost my place to stay.  We went to another lighthouse, and guess what....the walkway to it was closed!! Seriously the strangest hours and days at these places.  Still there was beautiful scenery to look at.  It was an awesome trip and even looking back at the pictures makes me happy.  I had a lot of fun visiting them in San Francisco three times since May.  Hopefully I will be able to find another reason to go back because I am dying for more of that GELATO!

I left my heart there too!! I love all of your pictures! You are such a great photographer!!

It was so cool and nice of you to come out and see us as much as you did. I hope that you'll do the same when we move south to San Diego. You're a great friend, sister, and sis in law!!
