4th of July

We had such a busy fun weekend. We started the 4th of July with our annual neighborhood parade. We had a little hair drama. Hannah got gum tangled all through her hair, and so I cut it (very uneven I might add). Then after I saw this picture of Ben I knew it was time to put my foot down and demand a hair cut.

They both had to wait until Saturday. My neice cut Hannah's hair and I love it! No more stragly hair. Ben was really upset by his haircut. Tony took him to Sports Clips thinking they would know how to cut boys hair, but they cut it way to short for him. He has been wearing a hat ever since.
On the 4rth of July night we went to the stadium of fire with Glen Beck, The Blue Man Group, and of course Miley Cyrus.

We were on the front row of the stadium seats so there was room for Hannah and Whitney to dance and rock out to Miley.

Ben liked the Blue Man group, but for Miley he went and got dippin' dots.
It was pure torture for him. He likes nothing "girly" and he thinks it is lame that she only sings about boys. My favorite part was the F16s flying over in formation and then they blew up a bunch of fireworks at the same time. It instantly brought me to tears. It was so loud and overwhelming I thought of what it might be like to be under attack in your homeland. It made me very thankful for our military and their families. They are so brave.
On Saturday we had Cory and Liz's kids while Liz had her gallbladder taken out. I know it wasn't fun for her, but Jason was in town and so we had a BBQ with the rest of the family.

Nick as a "POP STAR"

Sarah and Meagan watching Sponge Bob (why do little kids love him so much?)

Grandpa Kit and Hannah
I love summer BBQs and just letting the kids run around and play, watching the sun go down, talking and playing basketball. It is my favorite part of summer. Nothing to do and no where to go.
On Sunday we played nintendo Wii. We downloaded the old Mario Bros game that I grew up with.

I beat the game twice in one day. It was so much fun, I remembered playing it for hours when I was young, after a few tries I could remember where everything was. I know I am a NERD.

How did you download that to your Wii?!? I would LOVE to play that game again! I know I have said it before, but Sarah is so stinkin' cute!

You have to go to the wii shop and sign the user agreement and buy some wii points. It costs 500 points which is 5.00. What a deal for hours of entertainment. I can now get the 100 guys on level 3. I know I need a life. But it's quality time with the kids right?!?

Thats it, I am off to get me some Wii points! Sadly I am not kidding!! Thanks for the tip. And Heck yeah it is time spent with the kids...even if it is time spent fighting over who gets the controller...

Happy 4th of July! (A little late now) I met Miley in NYC while I was there, at least the wax version of her. :)

Fun bbq, I can't remember what it's like to go to one of those at your house cause it's been so long...

I can't wait until my Wii returns to me from SD. Jason has been hogging it all summer. That little stinker...
